WCOAP Day 2: Paresh Doshi Retains PLO Title

Day 2 of the Coral World Championship of Amateur Poker saw three coveted WCOAP bracelets awarded, the highlight being Paresh Doshi’s successful defence of his 2014 PLO crown, in event #1.  Doshi outlasted 65 other entrants, beating Dorina Clochan heads up, with Shan Bhatia taking the Bronze medal.

Elsewhere on day 2, Milena Langdale became the second woman to win a WCOAP bracelet when taking down event #3 – the Antes Only Championship.  Langdale beat Richard Garbutt heads up for the title, with Diogo Andre Gouveia Batista outlasting Dawn Cooke to take the Bronze.

The final bracelet of the day was awarded in event #4 – the Open Face Chinese Championship – an event making it’s debut in this year’s WCOAP.  In a keenly contested tournament, it was Italian team player Gabriel Iemmito who took the Bracelet, beating the sensational Paresh Doshi, heads up.  Gregory Divall took the Bronze medal.

Day 4 of the WCOAP will see a further two bracelets awarded.  Event #5 – the Mix Max Championship kicks off at midday, while event #6 – the PLO Dealers Choice Championship will start at 5pm.  You can follow the live updates via the forum.
